| Festival 2001 - Limits and Opportunities of Science |
|
The Festival 2001 took place in ten Swiss University cities. Its purpose was to build bridges between the sciences and society. One target audience was the youth, who were facing the decision of whether to get involved with sciences, or not. It was furthermore targeted at sceptical citizens wishing to discuss their views, as well as researchers and scientists who wanted to deal with the questions, wishes and suggestions coming from the public. Following the national Grand Opening celebration in Zurich, the regional Festival locations offered more than 1000 diverse events on the main topic "Limits and Opportunities of Science."
